Sorry I missed y'all last class. I really wanted to talk about these new drafts, because they really blew me away. It was so great seeing all that hard work we've been putting into our theses really pay off. I'm sure you're all going to do amazing things moving forward from here, because each time I read something it's just better and better than the last.
I am so close to being done with my thesis that I can taste it (It's kind of garlicky). I've been thinking about where I'm going to go from here. There are definitely a lot of pieces to this story that I'm not going to get into my thesis, so no matter how "finished" it is, it can't feel complete. I don't know though. It's hard to think about making that transition from producing something for a class and then going beyond that to produce something publishable or whatever. I'm not sure I feel prepared for that yet. It's a lot more work than anything I've accomplished before. But this thesis was a lot more work than anything I had produced priorly, so I have to remember to stay positive and keep faith in myself. I've learned how to trust my instincts and my narrative voice, and I think that's the most important thing.
